A slightly menial question, but are both character slots added to one end or one to either side of existing slots when a new expansion is added to an account?

Both on the right side, if I'm not mistaken.

They show up on the end of your existing character slots. (right side)

Remember you can always sort your icons, there's a button on the upper-left.

Creating and deleting chars messes up the order, I have no idea how or why. (I bought one extra char slot on my account to use as pvp, and it's currently on the 5th spot...)

P.S. You can only sort PvE/PvP and Alphabetically, not customised.
